New Video

Yes, it has been awhile since my last post. Regretfully, it is because of work and course work. Now that there are a few moments that I can breath, I can post something that one of my friends found. It is a video. It is a little graphic, so beware.

I do want to address that eating non-nutritious foods is not the only factor that causes obesity. There are numerous factors that contribute! So many that I have stopped counting. This video does show that good habits should start early. Parents that means you! Your precious angel may only want french fries, but there are other ways to approach the situation. Don't get me wrong, you want nothing more than your child to be happy. But happy and healthy are two completely different things and sometimes they do not always intersect. Trust me, as a mom of a toddler, I get it.

As you watch the video think of some ways that you can help your child have healthy habits. Guess what?!?! You should practice them too because a child mimics you. As much as you think it is cute how your child mimics your phrases of "I love you" and even repeat your infamous words of "No no no, " they also mimic your actions and habits. The last think you want is to have your child end up like the one in this video.

It was great getting back to all of you. Hopefully, the Future Dr. ME will be able to write again soon. Just remember, it takes 21 days to make a habit. So go make some good habits with your munchkins.
