Presentation and Reflection of Healthy Habits Lead to Healthy Futures

Hello everyone!

Reflection

This reflection is of the presentation “Healthy Habits Leads to Healthy Futures.” I apologize for the poor quality of the video, but it had to be compressed a great degree because of the file size. I had to perform my presentation at home and not in a typical classroom setting, so I am not pleased with the background and esthetics of the presentation.
Oddly I was more nervous to present the presentation at my own home that I would be at presenting it in front of a class. I found myself being more fidgety, which in retrospect I tend to be fidgety when speaking in front of groups of people. For future presentations I will have to improve on being less fidgety. Also, I felt that I relied more on my notes and did not focus on the order of the actual slides and presentation. This lead to me jumping ahead in the presentation and having to back track mentally to adjust where I was in the presentation.
I did project at a reasonable volume for the video recording and for the setting that the presentation took place. Eye contact with the small audience of my husband and our two dogs during the presentation was accomplished with ease. This would need to be adjusted when presenting to large groups of people. Also, the presentation was well organized and had a flow through the subject material. To ensure the audience members were following the information on the slides, I directed their attention by pointing to images or materials on the screen. The images were large and font was easy on the eyes to read. The font and the amount of  material per slide was not overwhelming to audience members. Based on an overall critique of the presentation, I would give myself a A- since there is always room for improvement.
